Cassie Ventura is an American R&B and Hip Hop singer and model, who has been extremely successful over the past few years. In 2006 she had a hit single 'Me & U', and she followed this up with a succesful album entitled 'Cassie'.

Cassie Ventura was born Cassandra Ventura in August, 1986, in New London, Connecticut into a musical family. Her father plays the trumpet and her mother the piano. Cassie's idol as a young girl was Mariah Carey and she was always highly focused on a career in show business. When she graduated from high school she made the conscious decision not to go to college, but to concentrate instead on a career in acting and singing.

She immediately moved to New York and after attnding dancing classes she was spotted in a nighclub and introduced to Ryan Leslie. He and Cassie wrote the single 'Kiss Me' and then Lesie co-wrote and produced Cassie's first single, 'Me & U', which pushed her on the road to stardom. It became a major hit in dancing venues and rose to number three on Billboard's top 100, selling over one million digital downloads.
